There was a little girl
When she was good, She was very good indeed.
But when she was naughty, she was horrid.
She went upstairs,
And her parents, unawares, Were looking out the window.
She stood upon her head, In her little trundle bed, With no one nigh to hinder.
Her Mother heard the noise, And thought it was the boys Playing in the empty attic.
So she ran up stairs, Caught her unawares And spanked her most emphatic !
